Beverley is a highly experienced Mental Health Nurse who also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in CBT from the Royal Holloway London in 2006. Beverley also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling 1998 from Swansea University.
Beverley is accredited by the BABCP, and is also an SEN (M) RMN, and a member of Nursing and Midwifery Council.
In addition to being a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Beverley has additional qualifications and training in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Clinical Supervision.
Beverley has over 30 years’ experience of working in an NHS Primary and Secondary care Psychological Therapies Team as well as working in the private sector, and Employee Assistance Schemes.
Beverley has a particular interest and experience in the treatment of PTSD, trauma, OCD, Low self- esteem, Depression and other Anxiety related disorders. Her approach is often directive and goal-oriented, helping the clients to find not only emotional relief but also practical solutions to their problems. Collaborative work is essential.
As part of her work Beverley offers Skype and telephone counselling sessions for clients who find it too difficult to attend due to distance or work timetables. I also offer supervision to individual students in training or individuals who are qualified as a CBT therapist.
