Graham is a former trained Nurse with over 20 years’ experience in Mental Health Nursing, General Nursing, HIV/AIDS Nursing, Adult Learning disabilities, and Nurse Education at the University of Wales. He holds a Masters degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and is fully accredited by the B.A.B.C.P. ( British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies), and the B.A.C.P. (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist / Counsellor.
For the passed two years Graham was the Chairperson of the SWWBABCP (South and West Wales Branch of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies). Graham is now currently a board member for SWWBABCP.
As a trained Mindfulness practitioner, Graham integrates this evidence based approach into his work with clients.
Graham is also trained to Post Graduate level as a Consultative Supervisor, and offers clinical supervision for students and trained therapists from a CBT, or Integrative perspectives.
Graham was initially trained as Integrative therapist and has a particular interest in integrating Transactional Analysis into his C.B.T. practice.
Since leaving his teaching role at the University of Wales, Graham has amassed considerable experience in Psychotherapy /Counselling, and training in the voluntary and corporate sectors, Civil Service, and the NHS. He also has 10 years’ experience in the voluntary sector as a volunteer trainer and managerial supervisor, and several years experience of working as a substance misuse therapist.
Graham is specifically trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and is a gay affirmative therapist who has considerable experience of working with gay individuals and couples.
